Ocean Isle Beach is one of North Carolinas
southernmost barrier islands. Miles and miles of powder white sand,
sun-danced waves, and windswept marshlands make Ocean Isle Beach
one of the loveliest places on earth.
This approximately seven-mile long coastal barrier
island was purchased in its entirety in 1953 by Odell Williamson
and then incorporated as the Town of Ocean Isle Beach in 1959. Since
its incorporation, Ocean Isle Beach has made a concentrated effort
to avoid the everyday hustle and bustle normally found in a resort
community. This unique village has retained a family beach atmosphere
and is the perfect place for vacationers and retires seeking to
relax and enjoy life. Ocean Isle Beach is a quiet alternative to
the wall-to-wall condos found on so many other coastal towns.
